We all wish that we could see the future, and see what's in store for us right around the corner. What would you do differently? What are some of the changes that you'd make in your life? Well, many people around the world feel like they get that glimpse into the future through the use of reading tarot cards. This ancient study goes along way in bringing a sense of comfort and knowingness in many peoples lives and futures.
Sometime back in the 15th Century, believed to be started in Northern Italy Tarot cards first made their mark. Having begun as a simple game, Tarot card reading took on a different purpose, when tarot card readers were thought of as having the ability to see into one's future or destiny.
Tarot card reading entails being able to understand what different symbols within the deck signify and tell about one's life. A typical deck of tarot cards hold 76 cards, each with it's own suites and symbols.
If you've ever passed by the eerie tents at the local carnival, which houses the resident psychic, by and large they're there for divination of carnival goers futures. Now, even real psychics will argue the merits of the carnival or amusement park tarot card reader's abilities and authenticity, however the act for the most part is believed by many to be a very true and useful activity.
Tarot card reading is not only used for divination but also for such things as craft and cast magic spells for evil purposes. For the most part though, throughout history though the art of tarot card reading has been played out for good, and for what's called "The Tree of Life", or doing good for others.
Learning To Read Tarot Cards
If learning to read a deck of Tarot Cards is something that you'd be interested in learning for yourself, either for actually carrying out divination, or for pure entertainment purposes, then a good deck to begin on is typically a Waite-Rider deck. These decks are thought to be the most simple card for learning the art.
Within a deck of cards there are two types, which are the chief types. Those are the major and minor arcana cards. Like a normal deck of cards there are also four suites in a deck of tarot cards, which are the knight, the page, the queen, and the king.
On each card is a positive and negative side depending on which angle that you're looking at the card. If you're looking at it upright, this is obviously the positive side, and if you were looking at it upside down, then this would be the negative end of the card.
Obviously, the card's symbols are paramount in how they are to be interpreted. The symbols do have a large learning curve but actually the ingredient for getting good at reading tarot cards is time spent with a deck. What this means is that the longer that you own and use a particular deck the more intimate that you become to that deck.
So if you're looking to become a proficient tarot card reader, your best bet is to get your self a deck of cards and spend as much time as you can with those cards, studying every little single nuance and symbol that your deck contains. Very soon, intuition will take over.

I am a teenage boy who is 15 years of age. I bought some tarot card's just last year I was so excited to read my future when suddenley it came to me. How do you read tarot cards? Well I bought a book about it and it all seemed really interesting!!
But I notice somethings about the cards were just not right! There made funny noiser in the middle of night like ghosts talking in my sleep. It really freaked me out. I also put them under my pillow and I used 2 have visions in my dreams. In one of my dreams I dreamt about my grandma who deid of canser just a few months ago. she holded my hand and she didn t make any sense at all but I think she was saying that she was ok! I woke up really scared!.
one night at a party I did some peoples futures just my familys..the guests at the party didn t want there reading done by a teenager. my parents were both seperated but were at the same party celebrating!.my interests was my dads! it showed the sign of the queen of wands it startle me 2 say a blonde woman will come into my fathers life.
and will be after his money!!. It also said t would create conflict in the family and disagreements and he will buy another house in the country and push me out of his life. my dad didn t listen he was abit drunk and wasn t paying attaction but by your surprise before my grandmas death he met a woman with blonde hair my suspicions grew and the tarot reading hit me like a flash...that woman was untrusting 2 be in around and she was after his money.
I did do my own tarot reading it helped me over come myself and who I reaqlly was. I suffered from a few breakdowns over the way I looked...for a 15 year old I suffered from depression because of my mum and dad break up and my grandmas death. With the tarot cards there hv helped me threw this up coming year but hopefully 2010 will be more enjoyable.

I had my Tarot Cards read when I went to Medieval Times last year. I was having a horrible day, my boyfriend nad I had a huge fight the night prior and I wasn't exactly sure where our relationship was heading. Should I stay with him? Should I leave and cut my losses early? I had no clue what I should do. So, I did as any girl would do and I cried!!!
When I was walking down the street I saw the booth to have my Tarot Cards read. I had never done anything like that so I figured "WHY NOT". I didn't really believe that this guy was going to be able to tell me anything, so I made sure I did not give anything away. I didn't say anything, didn't ask anything.....nothing. He told me to think of what it was that I wanted him to look for in the cards and just hold them. I could shuffle, or mess with them any way I wanted, but he just wanted me to focus on exactly what I wanted to know about. So I did.
As soon as he took the cards back and flipped some over he looked at me and said so this is about love. Of course I wasn't too surprised ~ I mean I'm sure most people do come in with questions about love. But then he went on to tell me that I was very close to this person, but problems in the world were going to seperate us. He kept saying that news would take two weeks, he wasn't sure what the two weeks was for but he felt it. Then he told me that both of us came from very hard pasts and that was what made us strong. Our communication was great and we needed that because the next 14 months would be hard for us. He said that I was going to be physically tested and if I came through it then he saw the card for family and he believed that I would end up married to that person for a long time. I started crying again.
He asked me if anything that he said made sense to me because he noticed I wasn't saying much. I told him that in two weeks my boyfriend would be leaving for Iraq and I wasn't sure what to do about our relationship. I decided to stay with my boyfriend, and 7 weeks ago he became my husband. We have definately had our trials, but I know my tarot cards were right. There is a strong family tie between my husband and I!
